Yoga for Low Back Pain
Here's a fifteen minute yoga practice to help with low back pain by opening up through the hips, stretching the hamstrings, and activating the core. We start with a little centering and breath work. Then we go into some core activation with bird dogs, low belly core activation, and then opening up through the front body. We focus on mobility through the hips as we go forward and backward with child's pose and up dog, and then move into downward dog to open up the hamstrings. Then we work with spinal extension for some heart opening, and then stretch the hamstrings and work on hip mobility with some twists. Then we get back into some core activation with bear pose and planks, which help to support your low back. From there, we do a little glute activation before getting back into the core with boat pose. Then we get back into the hip mobility with some dynamic reverse tabletop poses before doing some glute bridges for more glute activation and mobility. Then we do some more core activation with dead bugs, and then finding our way back into a centering, we close out the practice.
